Enough
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Enough — limits, permissions, privacy, and keeping it running.
Pick the apps you want to use less and give each one a daily time limit. Enough counts how long each app is open. You get a heads-up at 80% of a limit and again with 1 minute left. When you reach the limit, a calm Time’s up screen appears over the app.
The Time’s up screen shows how long you used the app. You can close the app, or ask for a few more minutes. Extra minutes start after a short breathing pause, and there’s a daily cap on how many you can take. Your limits reset at midnight.
Usage Access is how Android lets an app know which app is open and for how long. Enough uses it only to count your minutes. It never reads what’s on your screen, your messages, or anything inside other apps.
Android only allows an app to appear on top of another app with this permission. Enough uses it for one thing: showing the Time’s up screen when you reach a limit.
No. Without notifications your limits still work, but you won’t get a heads-up before the Time’s up screen appears.
Android requires apps that work in the background to show a notification. Enough keeps it quiet and uses it to show your total time on tracked apps today. It disappears when you have no limits set.
Yes. Tap an app on the Today screen to change its limit or stop tracking it. Stopping tracking keeps that app’s past days in History.
Some phones close background apps to save battery. Open Settings in Enough and tap “Keep Enough running” to allow it. Also check that Usage Access and Display over other apps are still allowed — Enough shows a banner on the Today screen if one is turned off.
No. Enough has no internet access, no account, no analytics, and no ads. Your limits and usage history stay on your phone. See the Privacy Policy for details.
No. Enough’s data is excluded from Android backups and phone-to-phone transfers, so it never leaves your device. On a new phone you set your limits again.
Clear Enough’s storage in your phone’s Settings, or uninstall and reinstall the app. This permanently deletes your limits and history.
